Obverse: Portrait of King George V in crown and regalia, with multilingual denomination panel and “Government of India” heading; booklet selvage with perforations at left edge.
Reverse: Circular medallion depicting the reverse of the 1-rupee coin inscribed “One Rupee India 1935,” with ornate guilloché border and crowned GRI monogram.
Variety: Watermark two five-pointed stars and GOVT OF INDIA pattern, Indian serial number font.
Notes with E and F prefixes were printed in India by India Security Press with perforated left edges, issued in booklets of 25 notes.
